In 2016, the newly formed Culinary Junior National team had won the runner-up Olympic title in Erfurt, setting ambitions for the upcoming 2018 World Championships. Norman Hunziker, Steven Duss, Manuel Engel, Sara Gruosso and Jean-Michel Wittmer are the "Olympic runners-up" in the team, which is completed by two new members: Delphine Rossetti, the first team member from French-speaking Switzerland, as well as Daniel Straumann already have competition experience – the ideal addition to the young team with team manager Tobia Ciarulli, who is used to success.
